This Privacy Policy explains what information the EzDMV mobile application (the "App") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the App, you acknowledge the practices described here; if you don't agree with them, please don't use the App and delete it from your device. This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service.
1. What we collect
We don't ask you for anything. The App has no account creation and does not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, location, or other information that directly identifies you.
Some data is collected automatically. Like most mobile apps, the App uses standard analytics and crash-reporting tools that automatically collect device-level technical data, including:
- device model and operating system version;
- a device or app-instance identifier (a random ID, not your name);
- IP address (used transiently to deliver the service and derive coarse, country-level location);
- app interaction data, such as which screens and test features you use;
- crash logs and performance data (e.g., app crashes, load times).
Some of this data — such as device identifiers and IP addresses — may be considered "personal information" under laws like the GDPR and CCPA, even though it doesn't identify you by name.
2. How we use it
We use this data only to:
- diagnose and fix crashes and bugs;
- understand how the App is used so we can improve features and content;
- measure aggregate performance and usage trends.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. Who processes it
We use Google Firebase for crash reporting and analytics, so Google processes this data on our behalf. You can learn more at How Google uses data from sites and apps that use its services.
We don't share your data with anyone else, except if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
4. Purchases
If you make a purchase, payment is processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their privacy policies. We never receive or store your name, billing address, or payment card details.
5. How long we keep it
Analytics and crash data are kept for limited periods and then deleted or aggregated. Aggregated statistics that identify no one may be kept longer.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to object to its processing. Because we collect no directly identifying information, we usually can't link data to you as an individual — but if you have a request or question, contact us at help.uptime@gmail.com and we'll do our best to help, including deleting app-instance data where feasible.
You can also reset your device's advertising/app identifiers or limit analytics at the device level through your iOS or Android privacy settings.
7. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us at help.uptime@gmail.com and we will delete it.
8. Security
We rely on industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, and on the security practices of our service providers (Google Firebase, Apple, Google Play) to protect the data described above. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we limit what we collect in the first place — the best protection is not holding data we don't need.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App, applicable laws, or our privacy practices. Any updates will be posted on this page, and the Effective Date will be updated accordingly. Your continued use of the App after the Effective Date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
Effective Date: January 1, 2026.
